New additions to my brom family

The three bromeliads that I ordered from Australia arrived today. What a joy to have these new additions to my plant family! They are:
Neoregelia predator

Vriesea kiwi-sunset

Vriesea herioglyphica

And a group shot.

Tada... tada... my brom collection is the "best" in the city, so far! (Or is it?)

Yes of course! I have never seen these even here. Good choice Ha Xuan! These need shade right? I like all three :-D

Thanks, Steph. Broms cannot tolerate full sun but not total shade, either. They likes dappled sun.

You have no idea how incredibly jealous of you I am right now.

Mr Subjective, why so? Can't you grow broms?
I've found them quite agreeable to my climate. The only hindrance is... they're terribly hard to get here, both $-wise and availability.

No, I can and do grow them (indoors, of course). But I've never seen 'Predator' or 'Kiwi Sunset' around here, and I haven't seen Vriesea hieroglyphica in ages.

Other bromeliads have been available to me before, of course. And when they are, I've bought a lot of them. (Though they tend to be pricey here too.) But those three of yours are amazing.

Oh, I see. So I'm very lucky to have an acquaintance got this for me from Australia. Wish I could share with you a baby when these multiply!
