Amazon lily

The plant is blooming again the second time this year. Though I want it to produces several scapes, I could only have one at a time!

I like how the pure white blooms showing off themselves high above the lush green foliage. Amazon lily has a sweet fragrance, stronger in the evenings.

Do you grow Amazon lily in your garden?

Yes I grow them, but cant determine when they will flower - it seems a bit sporadic. I do love the way the white pops out from all the green around them.

Yes, I agree that they are very unpredictable :-)
Thanks for visiting my blog.

Hello Ha Xuan, this is another pretty bloom! I like the green centre also... it is captivating. I think it makes the pure white seems 'purer' he he... and coupled with the scent... the flower must be even more attractive in the night.

Have a great weekend!

It's the first time I have heard of Amazon Lily. The blooms reminded me of orchid. They look great and I wish I could smell their fragrance as I am into collecting fragrant plants.
